Christ Expressed as You and as Us

We can heal people although we are spiritual cripples. This is because it is Jesus who heals and not ourselves. Our mandate is not just to heal limbs. It's to heal lives by extolling the true Gospel - the gospel in which we and Father have been made one.

The gospel is more simple and more profound than most of us have been led to believe. This is not always because others have lied to us. Although it can so be. It is often because many of us find it hard to believe that the gospel is that good.

Some have adopted approximate gospels. Gospels in which people are graced to keep the law and prosper in religion. Others abandon false gospels but still retain themselves in religion. The Kingdom was never religion. It is liberation from religion so that Christ is our life — so that in every way we are the expression of Jesus and the manifestation of God: We are son/and daughters.

The stark baldness of the gospel in its radical power is that ‘Jesus is you.’ As for the church Jesus is us.

“ As the Spirit of truth continues to guide and illuminate God’s people, new light is shed on the wonders of what Jesus has done for us, and the Good News is even better than we thought. We begin to realize that even while the gospel does not change, our vision may improve, our understanding may increase and our presentation may require revisions. Rather than anything novel, what’s required may be just the opposite. We probably need to revisit ‘the old, old story’ with Christ-cleansed lenses in order to do a little ‘quality control’ on our witness. So again, the gospel doesn’t need tweaking,’ (1) We do.

The complete gospel is us realizing that 'I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you' John 14.20 NIV.
