Christ in you - His Kingdom in the world

There’s more in the words, Sons of God than poetic expression. There’s the authority of Jesus.

My friend is in India at the moment. In everyday life he sells blinds. On the side, in this job, Jesus works through him to heal people in their homes. They get a new blind and some of them get an unexpected bonus – a healed limb or a healing from some debilitating disease. He is sharing what God does through him on Facebook. I share his posts with friends because I want church folks to know that there is a vibrant Kingdom of God – a multiplying of what Jesus began - that far exceeds the religious practices of maintaining and propagating the institutions we call church. I have copied his account below.

The Travels of a Blind Man India Trip
‘Easter Sunday, O what a day! It starts off with a short drive to a poor church group near-by. When giving their offerings some were so poor that they only had food to give that they have grown. This a bit different to what I see in Australia where it's all about money and money and more money.
Anyway, as I get up to speak, Jesus tells me to do something different like something I haven't heard about being done or seen done before. Then I get a picture of my water bottle and a picture of pain people get from drinking bad water.

And then I feel the pain and I start crying because it hurts. I use my imagination and see in my mind a possibility - what if God could bless the water in my bottle and that any one that was to drink it would get healed?

So as I get up I am trying to recover from the sorrow I was feeling only a minutes earlier and start on my preaching. After about 15 minutes I picked up a fresh new plastic water bottle and blessed it in front of everyone with the Healing Power of Jesus and then had any one with tummy pain to take a cup of this blessed water.

I declared that as they drank it they would be HEALED. About 25--30 people out of about 80 took the water and they all got healed. I had each and every one of them tell their story about the pain they had and how they got healed. ‘Wow Jesus, that was so good!’ I would challenge any Faith Filled Pastor to Try and do what Jesus tells them to do or gives them pictures of to do.
I go to the next church and Jesus has me do something similar. I get anyone who has pain to drink the water after blessing another water bottle. About 100 people out of 130 drank this BLESSED water and everyone got instant healing.

I then had about 15 people give their testimony about what happened. At the end of the meeting I blessed a whole lot more people with healing and infilling of the Spirit.  In the evening I went to the orphanage and was hanging out with the kids there and was just blessing them. Then I started to prophecy over the kids there according to their names. Jesus bought about healing to a young kid there that had AIDS. I could see and feel it happen under my hand as Jesus released this kid from the bondage of a lifetime of suffering and shame. This was amazing. THANK YOU JESUS!’

There are some who would tell you that you have neither the authority or power to do these things unless you are under their covering. Such a thought is more about ‘their authority’ and influence than it is about Jesus, His free forgiveness and healing. Jesus said, ‘I give you authority!’ The rest you can
read for yourself.

The man who wrote this account does not belong to an official church or to a ‘standard denomination.’ Clearly he is not a consumer of religion in some factory of the Christian Industry. He is Himself as a Son in the life of Jesus.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit have incarnated themselves in all who believe. This brother has neither earned his authority to heal by being more righteous than others or by latching on to some ‘key’ or hidden formula. There is no special anointing on him other than that which is available to all. He simply receives Christ’s life and grace as His own and steps out in faith - multiplying what Jesus began in the name of our Father, the Son and Holy Spirit.

We need to dump silly ideas like
cessationism and stop re-working scripture to suit our powerless, old covenant riddled religion.

‘He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant--not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life’ 2 Cor 3.6 NIV.

‘Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father’ John 14.12 NIV.

‘I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he’ Luke 7.28 NIV.

The Kingdom of God is what Jesus began. He stated this when He said, ‘Heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons and tell them the Kingdom of God has come. There’s more to our life in God than perpetuating institutions.

The issue is less about house churches versus your normal church on the corner and more about a life that is Christ multiplied as ourselves. The church Jesus builds is you manifesting the Christ. It is Bill and Mary manifesting the life of Jesus in them and as them. Keep in mind that the church Jesus builds is built without human hands. This is to say that it is simply the expression of Jesus as you, George and Maud! To see Jesus is to see yourself. To be Jesus’ life is to be yourself. To be yourself as a son with authority and not as the scribes is to be the Kingdom of God.
