The gospel of the Kingdom is profound and simple. It is Christ in you, Christ as you and therefore Christ manifest as the church. This is why His Kingdom is not a religion but an incarnation of the trinity in human beings.
Christianity is not a religion. It is a person. The Kingdom of God is not good works. It is the life of the trinity released through us.
The trinity is the womb of the universe. All that is springs from their life, love and joy. Today we are joined to this womb and this hub of life lives in us to flow out as rivers of spirit and life from our being.
But this is not what many Believers are living from. What Jesus meant for life the Enemy has distorted into religion – network of beliefs and behaviours imagined to be godly yet really just us. Religion is excellent at smothering spirit and life with the form of godliness – not only without power but without spirit and life. The Christianised knowledge of good and evil is not the Kingdom of God. It is iniquity with disguised as an angel of light.
Life to the full is not beyond anyone yet is eluded by most. Such fullness is accessible to all and is the inheritance of all. This life is not busyness, church activism or doctrinal purity. It is simply Christ our life, Christ manifest as us by the Spirit of Sonship.
Live in Jesus. Don’t add to Him. Do not add one jot or one tittle because the moment you do so you detract from the free flow of unlimited spirit and life. His life produces the good and the wholesome. But the good does not produce His spirit and life.
‘The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you’ Rom 8.11 NLT
The life of God is never about doing. It is about being – being a son. Those who have the son have life. Those who do not have the son have themselves and are devoid of spirit and life.
There is nothing of obligation and duty in the Kingdom of God. Who we are and what we do - our fruit flows from His presence within and the union of ourselves with all that is loving, joyful and life-giving. We love life and are filled with the impetus of life called love. In the spirit of sonship we are alive with Father’s life and we do life-giving activities simply by BEING OURSELVES WITH JOY.
‘The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life’ John 6.63 NIV.
Performance mode quenches spirit and life. Obligation produces dead works. Living in this mode produces a dead self, immune to revelation and the difference between flesh and spirit. The Spirit produces living works. The Spirit bears fruit in words and acts that keeping releasing life into eternity because they contain the life of God.
Christ in us as our life transforms us into who we actually are – sons who naturally multiply the life of the trinity. Why? Because Christ has come in our flesh. One with God we are entirely ourselves and have become life-givers. Life-giving activity is spontaneous, uncontrived and an expression of the self in Jesus.
‘This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God’ 1 John 4. 2 NIV.
The deceit in obligation is that it is driven by a performance mentality, which means that our act of charity, while appearing to be for the benefit of others is actually about ourselves – which robs the act of spirit and life and nullifies the Kingdom.
To transition from religion to Jesus is to pass from death to life, from confusion to revelation. It is to sow seeds that have eternity in them which go on releasing life forever.
